Brand Keyboard

BRANDS : Adidas – Burger king – Coca Cola – Disney – Ebay – Facebook –  Google – Hp – Intel – J&b – Kodak – Lacoste – Mac donald´s – Nike – O2 – Pepsi – Quaker – Rolling stone – Shell – Twitter – Unilever – Virgin – WordPress – Xerox – You tube – Zippo – (GENIUS)

Function Example:  “www” Key + ” f ” Key = Facebook Web

The repetition of the logos used by the advertising psychology, causes us to systematically recognize the brands, getting us to recognize the logos rather than our own alphabet.

A cool idea, but the choice of brands represented here clearly reflects your own taste. For me the most interesting aspect of this is how it’s a sort of composite sketch of one’s consumer habits or group affiliations.
For this to work I’d think some form of mass customization.. so the logos can be personalized to the user’s taste.

How u put these brands into the beyboard?

  7. wearingtheglassslipper says:

Just saw this on the wordpress newsfeed. A neat idea! Though I agree with a previous commenter that it seems personalized. I don’t drink soda, eat much fast food, care for playboy, etc. so many of those brands inspire disappointment or disgust in me.

  8. Martha says:

well, although this is a clever invention it also serves as interesting look into how the mind works. who ever designed this has a pretty keen understanding of the impact of marketing and design and its psychological impact on the consumer…

what will be even more interesting is if this keyboard actually sells. i personally think it makes a better image than it does a product. as some have pointed out, not everybody will like all of these brands, or the idea of having advertisments literally at their finger tips.

I loved your idea. Pleeeeeeeease start to sell it! Will be a success!

  11. […] While this keyboard would be pretty hard for any hunt-and-peck typist to use, it really is a great way of showing the power of some brands. The speed at which your mind can connect the lips logo with the Rolling Stones and R, or the swoosh with Nike and N is pretty striking. Lacoste took me a second, along with a couple others, but by and large these logos are pretty much adequate replacements for the letters of the alphabet. They’re just symbols, after all. […]

  48. Logo Mania
